The problem with my old site is that it isn`t user friendly, and when I updated to Vista, my ftp program became outdated, and I just never got around to changing it. Then I am having so much fun with flickr that I pretty well have forgotten how to manage my old site. On flickr I have my "Friday flick" that is where I put a new painting on every Friday. It is great working to a deadline, even though it is self imposed, I seem to be attracting some regular viewers. I now seem to have a purpose in life, I had a purpose before, to paint, but without a deadline, I would go weeks without painting anything. This setup is a way more productive. Lets see if I can keep it up now that the nice weather is here.

My Fantasy

One of my fantasys is to have a large live in studio, real large. At the same time I am following the sale of a local grocery store. It is a collection of add-on buildings, including a 3 bedroom appartment, the place is run down, needs a new septic tank, and basically an eye sore. But it is 6000 square ft of floor space , plus add on shacks. Huge potential , tons of wall space. If I was left on my own, thats, you know, the wife passes on , naturally of course. I would buy the place, to git rid of the high taxes, including business tax, and the high property insurance, I would zone the property residential, lock the doors and tell everyone to screw off. And sit inside in my huge biosphere and create art work, there is enough room and southern windows to create a green house an indoor pond with a waterfall. And sit there and paint to my little hearts content while the place fell down around me.
